Overview - Dr. Rod Santos (Medical Director)

Naturopathic Physicians vary their approach to patient cases. Naturopathic Doctors or NDs are trained in many different therapeutic modalities. These include Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Botanical Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Homeopathy, Lifestyle Counseling, and more. Because of this, many NDs focus their practice on a few of these modalities.

CPNC is headed by Dr. Rod Santos. He holds a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and a B.Sc. in microbiology from UBC. He has been trained by the American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM/ISCT) for chelation therapy and by International Oxidative Medicine Association for ozone, ultraviolet, and hydrogen peroxide therapies.

Dr. Santos received additional training in Intravenous Vitamin-mineral therapy, Chelation therapy, Ozone medicine, Mesotherapy and Prolotherapy. Dr Santos was individually trained in Mesotherapy by Dr. Roman Chubaty MD, A.C.S.M., A.A.A.M., L.M.C.C., A.C.F.P., The top North American expert on Meso-Lipotherapy and President and founder of the International Meso-Lipotherapy Society , Dr. Chubaty trained under Dr. Jacques Le Coz, MD in Paris, France and Dr. Patricia Rittes, MD in Sao Paulo, Brazil. These modalities are not taught in Naturopathic Medical school but rather are usually taught by MDs in the United States. Dr. Santos has found that these innovative therapies have profound therapeutic value, especially when combined with traditional Naturopathic treatments.

Complete health histories, diet diaries, symptom charts, reviewing past medical records, physical examinations and comprehensive baseline blood tests (or specialty lab tests), are all standard tools in Dr. Santos's assessment and evaluation of a patient.
